Aaron Huey’s lecture on The Lakota Sioux, at a recent TEDx lecture, is not to be missed. His photographs are intimate, powerful and tragically beautiful documents of what our country has done to not only the people on the Pine Ridge reservation, but all Native Americans. This body of work and his testimony stand as a symbol of what was and is a genocide. Every school child and adult in the United States should see this and come to better understand the tragedy of the founding of this country and what manifest destiny wrought on the native peoples of this vast continent. Watch, learn and feel Aaron’s intensity.
