USA Book News has given Ed the distinct honor of naming him the winner in the “Political/Social” category for the National “Best Books” 2009 Awards today! Not to be overlooked, Ed was also one of the few finalists for the “General” category for Curse.
USA Book News is a very well respected online magazine for both mainstream and independent publishing houses. We’re simply thrilled, so please go and check out this fantastic site and the other amazing winners.
And, thank you again to everyone at USA Book News!
We’re also flattered to have Ed’s symposium lecture in “Seeking Justice: Social Activism through Journalism and Documentary Practice” reviewed by Julie Schwietert. Ms. Schwietert is the managing editor of the Matador Network, a website that helps a vast array of writers, travelers and activists come together and learn from each other’s experiences, so naming the review, “Raw Journalism” means a lot.
The lecture, which was last Thursday was a great success, and while I have the opportunity, I’d like to thank the Centre for Documentary Practice once again. Please read Julie Schwietert’s review on Travel Insights 100.
