In the press release, PhotoPhilanthropy states, “Since 2009 we have received submissions from over 600 photographers in more than 90 different countries, showcasing the work of over 450 nonprofit organizations and shedding light on human rights, health, environmental and other pressing social issues.”
UPDATE: The judges for this year’s competition have been announced! This year’s judges represent some of the top photojournalists ad photo editors working in the field. The jury will convene in February 2015 to choose a winner in both the professional and emerging categories. The submission deadline has also been extended to December 16th.
