VII is an agency that was formed in 2001 by seven of the world’s leading photojournalists. Now comprised of 23 members, VII is committed to documenting the environmental, social, and political conflicts of our world. Some of the photographers represented by this agency have brought their work together to create the film, VII Uncommissioned – a showcase of their award-winning short documentary films. VII Uncommissioned will be featuring the films: Photojournalisms, Blanco, On the Line, Mirror, Massacre at Utoya, Syrian Spring, Siberian Supermodels, Obama’s War, and Went the Games Well. This intriguing compilation will be screened on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00 PM. The screening will take place at the Sie FilmCenter in Denver, Colorado. Co-Director of the film and contributor of the Photojournalisms piece, Ed Kashi will be in attendance at the screening.
Also, in Colorado, the weekend of April 27-28, will be a workshop taught by Ed at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. This course offers the opportunity to spend the weekend discussing photojournalism and documentary photography with Ed as well as going on a group documentary shoot in downtown Denver.
