#Dysturb Print Journal Launch on Climate at Magnum Foundation

October 4, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We’re celebrating the first issue of #Dysturb’s new journal, dedicated to climate change and the journalists and fragile communities on the frontline for environmental justice!

Join us for the launch of #Dysturb’s new journal!

After 3 years of paste-up operations in city streets and at schools, #Dysturb is releasing a new printed journal in order to reach a wider audience. This first issue is dedicated to a theme we share a deep passion for: climate. We’ll be joined by #Dysturb co-director Benjamin Petit and community manager Kyla Woods, alongside contributing photographers Ed Kashi and Felipe Jacome, and others involved with the making of this first issue!

In 2015, we partnered with #Dysturb on #Reframeclimate, a visual intervention at the COP21 Climate Summit in Paris. Integrating an audio experience designed by students at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU Tisch and statistics distilled by researchers at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, #Reframeclimate aimed to challenge the stereotypical notions of what climate change looks like in order to expand and deepen perceptions about its many implications. We’re honored to be a part of #Dysturb’s continued efforts to provoke dialogue and action around climate resilience and environmental justice.
