Winner of the 2017 World Press Photo Contest Announced

February 15, 2017 - March 3, 2017

I am thrilled to hear that Amber Bracken, one of the students in the Advanced Mentored Studies program at Anderson Ranch Arts Center has won first prize in the 2017 World Press Photo Contest!

Amber’s wonderful photo essay of the Standing Rock protest in Cannon Ball, N.D. won the contemporary issues category, which recognizes her work for it’s “visually compelling insights about our world and will be part of an exhibition that travels to 45 countries, seen by more than 4 million people in the coming the year.”
