Michael Watts is an author, human rights activist and expert on issues revolving around oil and it’s effects on local communities. He is also a professor at the University of California in Berkeley. He and I are collaborating on a book being published by PowerHouse Books in March 2008. “Curse of the Black Gold” will deal with the impact of 50 years of oil on the troubled Niger Delta.
