Opening on April 4th in NYC, Arts Brookfield will be presenting SMILE! A Photo Anthology by VII. Curated by Ed Kashi and Ron Haviv, the exhibition will feature work from VII Photo Agency’s award-winning visual storytellers. The concept behind this exhibition “explores the complexities of a seemingly simple emotion.”
“As individual photojournalists we often frown upon the smiles in our photographs,” explains Ed Kashi in the event’s press release, “And yet, shown together as a group, these smile photographs reveal the astonishing range of human behavior.”
Don’t miss this group exhibition on display until May 1st in New York City’s Arts Brookfield. Visitors and remote fans are encouraged to submit their own smile photograph on Instagram or Twitter answering “Why do you smile?”and using #sharemysmile. Ron Haviv and Ed Kashi will choose their favorite image to win a signed copy of Questions Without Answers.
For more ways to get involved, join Ed Kashi and some of the exhibiting photographers in #ArtSetFree — an initiative by Arts Brookfield to celebrate its 25th anniversary. It’s as simple as sharing your art on social media with the hashtag #ArtSetFree. Learn more about this at ArstBrookfield25.com
