The International Center of Photography (ICP) presents an exhibition of work by faculty members called “Stories in the Social Landscape.” Curated by Karen Marshall, this show addresses ways in which the photographic narrative can inspire ideas about people and place within the social landscape of our world. A selection of photographs and video from many different, larger bodies of work come together with “a new harmonic voice. Monologues become part of an exchange of individual perspectives that overlap and connect – a testament to our universal struggle to understand the human spirit through the lens of a camera.”
Included in this group exhibition are VII photographers, Ed Kashi, Ron Haviv, and Ashley Gilberston. The show is on view from Saturday, December 14, 2013 – Sunday, March 16, 2014 in the Rita K. Hillman Education Gallery at ICP. The opening reception will be held on Friday January 17th from 6-8pm. Be sure to come out to see the exhibition and join the celebration at the opening reception. Hope to see you there!
