I’m looking forward to my talk on the Future of Mobile Photography next Thursday, September 3rd, during the annual IFA conference on consumer electronics in Berlin. I’ll be speaking at an event with ZTE, the Chinese phone manufacturer which was kind enough to let me play with its new Axon phone. I’ve been using the phone to shoot some images on the streets of NYC and Amsterdam, some of which I’ll share during my lecture in Berlin. The Axon not only takes very high quality stills, but also shoots in 4K video.
Things are moving fast in the world of mobile and this new phone is a glimpse into the future. I’ll be speaking about the importance of mobile photography for not only amateurs and photo enthusiasts (isn’t that more than half of humanity now?) but also professionals like myself.
The growth of mobile photography and storytelling has been breathtaking and exciting. I can now share my work with a scope and immediacy that is powerful. I’ll be taking over ZTE UK’s Instagram feed for the day, on September 4th. Follow them now, so you can see more of the content from my talk.
