ImageFlow in Mill Valley, California will be hosting an Ed Kashi Weekend Workshop on Saturday, February 1st – Sunday, February 2nd, 2014.

On Saturday workshop participants will share their work and engage in intimate and wide ranging conversation about photojournalism, documentary photography, art and how to use your photography in social media. In the afternoon, participants will go out for a shoot, with any capture device they choose, in Sausalito. The group will document many aspects of this picturesque town on the Bay.

Sunday will be spent reviewing work and participating in a group critique. Ed Kashi will continue the conversation, sharing his vast experience working with NGOs and Foundations, advocacy journalism, capturing video to incorporate motion into visual storytelling, and developing a voice with your photographs.

Upon completion of the weekend course, participants will be asked to submit 5 of their favorite photographs, from which Ed will make a blog post with the images and photographer’s bio, in addition to uploading at least one capture from each participant to the VII Instagram feed.

Registration costs for this workshop are $675 for general participants, however, students can sign up at a discounted rate of $600. Be sure to register early to reserve your spot for this unique opportunity. See you in Marin County!
