Opening on October 10th, “Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment,” is an exhibition of nearly 100 photographs from 11 acclaimed female photojournalists who are “changing the world one image at a time.” Sponsored by The PNC Financial Services Group, the exhibition will tour multiple cities through 2016.
These intrepid photographers document important issues like child brides in Yemen and lion’s fighting extinction. Fueled by a passion for making a difference, the compilation of images creates a unique perspective, bringing these experiences from the on assignment adventures home for the viewers. “The images expose the impact of war, document the lives of isolated populations, celebrate cultures, reveal nature’s grace and share the majesty of landscapes near and far.”
Photographers in the exhibition include Lynsey Addario, Stephanie Sinclair, Lynn Johnson, and many more. Come out to support the exhibition and the photographers dedicated to making this work. The exhibition will make its debut at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, D.C. on October 10th.
